JOB DESCRIPTION
Contracts Lead
* Manage the EPCI, FEED and Long Lead Item (LLI) contract process for NFXP Offshore from contract strategy workshops, contract type selection, preparation of the ITTs, review and evaluation of tender documents, through to contract award and day-to-day contract administration. Manage all post-award activities not limited to preparation of formal correspondences (i.e., letters), change orders, claims, insurance & guarantees administration. Manage contracts and LLIs from award through to completion.
Reporting and Relationships
* Reports to: NFXP Offshore Head of Contracts. * Direct reports: None. Internal * Frequent contact with NFXP Offshore Projects
Management Team. * Periodic contact with QatarEnergy LNG Major Projects Team. External * Frequent contact with other departments and groups e.g.
Legal, Supply and EPCI/FEED/LLI Contract Representatives.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
* Leads Contract administration of NFXP Offshore EPCI Contracts for Jackets
Topsides and Pipelines facilities. * Provides contract strategy advice to the Project Management Team with
respect to contract process, preparation, change order management, claims and final close out.
* In charge of the contract administration activities of a multi-billion project.

1. Develop contracting scenarios to support effective Contracting Strategy workshops. 2. Lead the PMT in preparation of FEED/EPCI/LLI contracts in partnership with Legal and Supply
departments. 3. Advise on the process to produce technical bid evaluation plans, procedures, and models for
evaluating technical bids. 4. Coordinate with contractors to ensure that terms of the contract are fulfilled in compliance with
the contract terms and regulations. 5. Manage all post-award activities not limited to preparation of formal correspondences (i.e.,
letters), change orders, claims, insurance & guarantees administration. 6. Advise NFXP Offshore Project Management Team (PMT) in handling major change orders and
claims and negotiations with EPC contractors and LLI suppliers, interfacing with Supply and Legal departments as needed.
7. Advise contractor claims effectively and resolve issues on behalf of the company, and coordinate on legal issues with Supply and Legal departments.
8. Coordinate the transfer of the LLI contracts through novation or free issue to the chosen EPIC contractor.
9. Advise on the breach of contracts in a timely manner.
10. Review contract agreements to identify and recommend amendments and improvements of existing contracts for inclusion in future project contracts.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics and Statistics.
Knowledge and/or Experience
* 8 years of experience in contract management related to EPC contracts including a minimum of 4 years in the Oil & Gas Industry and at least 1 year experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/ subcontractors/ service/ vendor personnel.
* Experience in contract formulation activities, systems, and processes across a broad range of Contracts.
* Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub- contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
* Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claims, management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post- award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.
* Knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines.
* SME level competence in candidate's specific business discipline. * Knowledge of relevant business processes/procedures. * Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making. * Strong knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g.,
dashboards, data analytics, SAP, etc. * Experience supporting large scale integrated operating and executing
organizations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
Technical and Business Skills
* A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English * Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal skills * Ability to resolve complaints and concerns * Retain and demonstrate excellent attention to detail * Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office
applications.
