Project Controls Lead


Job Purpose

Lead the execution of project controls functions across the assigned projects,

ensuring cost, schedule, and performance data are accurately monitored, reported and managed. Ensure accuracy and integrity of project and contractor's performance data and provide insights for effective decision making and risk mitigation to meet Company's objectives and support the

needs of stakeholders and shareholders.

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to Head of Project Controls

* Direct reports: None

Internal

* Frequent requent contact with all Major Projects and NFPS departments and other administration departments.

* Regular Interaction with other compression business teams to coordinate for interface issues, support team etc

External

* Periodic contact with contracting companies and occasional contact with stakeholders.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

* Understand the key project drivers, define roles and responsibilities, develop communication protocols, identify, develop and implement project procedures for reporting, cost control and planning/scheduling; identify elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims, communicate and influence across the organisation to ensure delivery of project within the agreed timeframe.

* Major challenges are (1) completing detailed assessments of project controls, cost, schedule and recovery/rectification plans, in short deadlines and a highpressure environment and (2) developing and sustaining relationships with EPC Contractor Project Controls personnel throughout project execution to ensure Company is provided with timely and the best available information to aid decision making.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Execute project control functions including scheduling, cost control, change management, progress monitoring, risk and issue tracking, in alignment with processes, procedures and project requirements.

2. Maintain effective communication with project teams to resolve planning and control issues applying initiative and flexibility to ensure alignment across disciplines and enhance project execution effectiveness.

3. Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to consolidate and analyze project cost and schedule data, control metrics, trends, and progress measurements. Ensure overall project status is assessed, and potential risk or deviations are identified. Produce cost estimates as requested by senior management.

4. Lead schedule planning and delivery using integrated planning tools and multi-range scheduling software. Ensure schedule accuracy and cost data collection and updates.

5. Support change order requests and issues and risk management processes across the NFPS by assessing contractor proposals and ensuring alignment with project governance and procedures.

6. Monitor contractor performance and progress in project controls, scheduling, reporting, progress monitoring, and cost estimating. Identify and address discrepancies and coordinate clarifications and ensure timely corrective actions are taken by the contractors.

7. Ensure approved project changes are integrated into schedules and cost baselines, coordinating with planning and cost systems and teams to reflect the impact on reporting, stewardship and suitability for the project.

8. Establish and maintain integrated project control system that are fit for purpose and aligned with project scope, complexity and execution strategy.


Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction,procurement, etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry including 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor/sub- contractors/service/vendor personnel.

Technical and Business Skills

* Experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, sub- contractors, vendors or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.

* Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post- award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.

* Knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines.

* SME level competence in candidate's specific business discipline.

* Knowledge of relevant business processes/procedures.

* Experience with risk assessment approach in decision making.

* Strong knowledge of relevant software and computer skills, e.g., dashboards, data analytics, SAP, etc.

* Experience supporting large scale integrated operating and executing organizations, such as Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
