Analytics Applications Specialist


Job Purpose

Lead multiple analytics applications and tools to ensure effective implementation of dashboards, reports and applications for Major Projects. Handles data warehouses, reporting systems, predictive modelling software, creates insightful reports and interactive dashboards. Transforms raw data into meaningful visualizations that drive actionable insights for the organization and Responsible for the data and system functioning according to required specifications, developing effective data management approach to meet quality standards and delivery time frame, Provides technical data leadership to meet project desired objectives related to the matter of data and systems technology, Identifies potential risks and performs periodic data assessment and reporting to ensure the data integrity also Responsible for Data Analytics including development of tools specifically for Data integration & Data Extraction ETL (Extract Transform & Load)

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to to the Head of MP Data Analytics.

* Direct reports: 1

Internal

* Frequent contact with Major Projects Division Managers and Heads, and end user focal points in Major Project Group

* Periodic contact with Performance and Delivery staff and provide full

support to the deliverables of Performance and Delivery department.

External

* Regular contact

* Periodic contact with audit teams and 3rd party service providers on as needed basis.

1. Create and manage databases, establish data warehouses, and perform ETL

(Extract, Transform, Load) processes and good in automation tools

2. Develop web, IT, and SharePoint-based applications to support data management.

3. Gather business requirements from end-users and design effective solutions.

4. Collect data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.), Transform raw

data into meaningful insights using dashboard development tools like Power BI.

5. Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards with visually appealing

visualizations to convey actionable insights.

6. Build and maintain data models within Power BI, and other related tools and

Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.

7. Write DAX formulas to create custom calculations and measures and Implement

complex business logic using DAX.

8. Create compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, maps, etc.) to present data

effectively and Ensure data visualizations align with business requirements.

9. Designing, developing, and maintaining Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-

Driven), and creating Power Automate flows to integrate with other Microsoft services

and potentially third-party applications

10. Good in utilizing Oracle's Primavera P6 software for project planning, scheduling, and management

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science , information management Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, , Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, or Statistics.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years' experience as a Power BI Developer/Dashboard Designer or similar role, preferably within the Oil & Gas Construction Industry

* 5 years in SQL for data manipulation and extraction

* Experience in Oracle's Primavera P6

Technical and Business Skills

* A thorough knowledge of Data and Analytics with solid experience in interactive dashboard and reports development.

* Strong IT and coordination skills.

* Strong qualitative, quantitative analytical & problem-solving skills.

* Strong skills in Power BI, MS SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Power Platform including power Apps .

* Proficiency in:

o Power BI development, including report & dashboard creation.

o Data modelling and data visualization concepts.

o Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) & Power Query.

o MS Office (especially Excel).

o ETL Tools like SSIS or Similar tools

o ASP.NET, SharePoint, HTML, CSS, etc.

* Some experience in the following areas:

o Reports Automation using SSRS, Power Bi Report Builder or similar tools.

o SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BusinessObjects Lumira.

o SAP Data Services & WEBI (BusinessObjects Web Intelligence)

* Excellent written and spoken English.

* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

* Good supervisory skills.
