Quality Lead (Manufacturing)


Job Purpose

* Responsible for all aspects of quality for Major Projects/NFPS projects as a member of NFPS Shared Services Quality team. Ensure the quality of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This involves developing and implementing quality control procedures, monitoring production, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvement. They also play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations

Reporting and Relationships

* Reports to Head of Quality (Assurance).

* Direct reports: None.

Internal

* Frequent contact with all NFPS Shared Services Quality sections and divisions

* Periodic contact and closely collaborate with all Major Projects and NFPS Compression

External

* Frequent contact with Shareholders Quality and Technical Subject Matter Experts

* Periodic contact with Contractors, Subcontractors, Vendors and Sub-vendors.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

* Challenge challenges include: (a) working under time pressures to provide necessary oversight while meeting excellence in Quality Assurance and transparency for all shareholders; (b) establishing, revising, managing and enforcing the implementation of the Quality Management System for all projects.

* Evaluate failure analysis report developed by Quality Project Management Team (PMT) for each NFPS Compression Project including aligning on interpretation of lab analysis results of failed components of material supplied. Develop recommendations to prevent the failure from re- occurring.

* Ensure resolution of issues to the satisfaction of the stakeholders.

* Ensure that all contractors, subcontractors, vendors, sub-vendors will meet all applicable quality requirements and will complete and commission all projects flawlessly, on time and budget.

* Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Company Safety, Health and Environment and Quality policies, regulations and standards.

* Ensure all activities undertaken comply with anti - trust and competition laws and the Company firewall policies and procedures.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Creating and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specification

2. Conducting inspections and tests during various stages of manufacturing to identify defects or deviations from quality standards

3. Investigating quality issues, performing root cause analysis using tools like Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys etc. and developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

4. Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports

5. Working closely with other teams (engineering, manufacturing, etc.) to address quality issues, communicate quality standards, and drive continuous improvement

6. Ensuring that manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

7. Identifying opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through the implementation of best practices and lean manufacturing principles

8. Lead or be part of Quality Management System Audits to ensure full compliance to Company requirements and applicable international codes and standards

9. involved in evaluating and managing the quality of materials and components sourced from suppliers.

10. Participating in the validation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to ensure they consistently produce products that meet quality requirements


Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

* 8 years experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

* Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, etc. Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools. Knowledge of Industry standards.

* Creating and implementing quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications

* Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry regulations, and performance improvement methodologies.

Technical and Business Skills

* Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools.

* Quality Analysis Tools, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.)

* The ability to document quality plans, Inspection and Tests Plans (ITPs), and other relevant documents clearly and concisely

* Knowledge of various testing and inspection methods, both destructive and non-destructive, as well as the ability to interpret results.
