Senior Electrical Engineer (OES)
Job Purpose
Advise and support electrical engineering expertise consistent with Senior Engineer level competency during EPC and startup phase until handover to permanent asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet operations expectations in term of safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability over the facility design life cycle.
Reporting and Relationships
Reports to Head of Engineering.
Direct reports: None.
Internal
Regular contact with Project Management Team (PMT) and Operations departments.
Periodic contact with Engineering & Projects and HSEQ Groups.
External
Frequent contact with shareholders subject matter experts, EPC contractors, vendors, suppliers, and engineering consultants.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Able to effectively influence project decisions based not only on CAPEX but
considering OPEX for the project life cycle.
Requires to (1) ensure compliance with Company specifications, processes
and procedures for the assigned projects; (2) participate in reviews and
provide technical inputs to designs and procedures for the implementation
of approved field operations whilst mitigating new technology risks
introduced by the project.
Financial Dimension As defined for this job level in the Delegation of Authority and/or approved budget.

Key Job Accountabilities
1. Provide a variety of electrical engineering supports to contribute to the division strategy and goals which includes design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis and advanced troubleshooting as part of punch list and warranty claim resolutions, and Management of Change.
2. Support development and implementation of surveillance and administration programs for critical electrical systems of new projects to achieve high standards of reliability, availability and cyber security.
3. Support or lead the definition and implementation of integrity program for electrical equipment to achieve high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
4. Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as per requirements to support overall business objectives.
5. Supervise and ensure effective completion of activities undertaken by contractors, consultants and service providers.
6. Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliability systems.
7. Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems under the area of responsibility.
8. Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks (under area of responsibility) which could impact new project reliability, availability and cyber security. Prepare discipline handover packages for operating company following start-up.
9. Support high risk commissioning activities for high complexities & large-scale projects by (a) undertaking stringent system surveillance, (b) tuning and optimizing electrical systems, and (c) providing advisory supports to operations and maintenance.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
6 years' experience in an oil and gas environment.
Technical and Business Skills Able to work and make decisions under highly stressing conditions.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Strong leadership & people skills.
Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office and technical applications.
Senior Electrical Engineer-level of competence as per Electrical Engineering Technical Competencies.
