Interface Lead


Job Purpose

 Responsible for managing technical and contractual interfaces across

engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project scope, schedule, and deliverables. The resource will be involved in all the NFW Offplot project but in initial stages mainly involved within the RLIC port dredging works.

Reporting and Relationships

 Reports to Project Manager (Dredging)  Direct reports: None Internal  Frequent contact with various project teams and departments within PMT, RLIC,

and Operations Engineering in addressing marine, civil issues requiring interface.

 Periodic contact with RLIC, and Operations Engineering in addressing civil structural issues requiring effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to foster collaboration.

External  Frequent contact with EPC Contractor/subcontractors, Vendors, Specialist

consultants.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

 Acting as technical liaison between port construction (e.g. quay walls, dredging, marine utilities) and operations teams.

 Ensuring design-to-construction coordination, especially for dredged channels, berths and marine instrumentation systems (e.g. berthing aids, PLC, F&G interfacing)

 Ensuring contractors respect interface boundaries between civil dredging, navigation, utilities and installed LNG terminal infrastructure

 Coordinating marine surveyor data, bathymetry validation and handover documentation.

 Responsible for ensuring timely evaluation and approval of interface agreements required by the EPC Contractor without time and cost implications.

 The position is dynamic and requires high commitment, discipline, facilitation and negotiating skills.

 Operates in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment which requires professional conduct and proper office protocol.

 Schedule meetings, issue minutes of meetings and steward close out of action items with interfacing organizations and EPC Contractors on a frequent basis, consistent with all project's needs.

 Position is Doha based initially and then subsequently in Project Site Offices in Ras Laffan, Qatar.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Liaise within RLIC, Port (e.g. Operations, Various EPCs RLTO) to facilitate and coordinate all project Interface related activities.

2. Provide overall guidance and leadership with respect to the physical interfaces between dredging project and all interfacing parties.

3. Resolves issues that may arise between making sure that the EPC contractor can perform the

scope of work flawlessly without claims for delay or change.

4. Organize and participate in weekly Interface management meetings with Contractor and monitor Project overall interface management register for completion and close out.

5. Develop and implement Interface Management Plans, including registers, matrices, and reporting

systems.

6. Coordinate multi discipline interface reviews (MEP, civil, instrumentation, etc.) through regular meetings and workshops.

7. Maintain PMCS interface-tracking database.

8. Coordinate and ensure that EPC Contractors' Interface Plans are developed, effectively

implemented and monitored.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

 Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience

 8 years of interface management experience in large-scale oil and gas projects, including 1 year of experience in supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.

 Knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post- award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.

 Excellent stakeholder coordination, communication, and analytical skills.

 Proficient with interface management software and office productivity tools.

Technical and Business Skills

 Fluent in written and oral English.  Strong leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and

assisting contractor teams.  Strong analytical, organisational, coordination and planning skills.  Good written and verbal communications skills and ability to interact

/ interface at all levels.  Good mediation skills including conflict resolution, problem-solving,

creative thinking, influencing and empathy.  Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, etc.  Deep knowledge of industry codes, standards and practices for civil

discipline
